When installing new Can-am Maverick a-arms, the bushings and ball joints have to be either reused or swapped for new ones. If you are mechanically inclined and have a ball joint press, you can handle it no problem. If you use your local mechanic or dealer to do the install, make sure you tell them to install the ball joint. Dealers will likely try to sell you a $175 Keller ball joint or some other high end ball joint. These ball joints are great, and definitely higher quality than OEM ball joints, but if you are mild to moderate in your driving style, stock ball joints are fine. Hard racing deserves Kellers or the like, but a lot of riders won’t see that much benefit from running expensive a-arm ball joints in their Mavericks.
