When it comes to UTV tires, we here at Everything Can-Am Offroad know that not all tires are great in all domains. Nevertheless, with our wide selection of Can-Am Maverick tires, you’re sure to find something to match your needs. Whether it’s a tire for general riding or a tire made specifically for a single type of terrain, you’re sure to find whatever your after right here at Everything Can-Am Offroad. The tires that come stock on the Maverick X3 have bigger studs, however even more aggressive tires can be installed for better traction. Mongrel tires work great for rock crawling, boney trails, and feel really sticky on dry trails. They even do decent in deep water, but we wouldn’t recommend taking them into deep mud holes. For this, you’ll likely want a mud-specific tire. Can-am Maverick wheels and tires made for the mud have specific treat patterns and a wider build to increase grip. UTV tires like the 30x10x14 Cryptids work great for this application. These bulky tires, though, underperform on dirt roads and groomed trails and will definitely reduce top speeds.
If you’re looking for a good, all-around tire, we’ve heard great things about Silver Backs BTKs, and Carnivores, the latter being widely regarded as the best Can-am Maverick tire on the market. That being said, EFX MotoHammers and ITP Blackwater Evolutions are both great all-around tires that ride super smooth on roads and hard-pack trails. We’ve heard some riders complain about MotoHammers wearing out quickly, but if you rotate them every 300 miles or so you’ll easily get over 2k miles out of them without a slice or puncture. Some other good radial tires that are decent in muddy conditions yet perform well on the dirt and sand are Quadboss’ 446 / 846 tires, 30x10x14 Tusk Terrabites on stock 14” beadlocks, and Massfx UTV tires.
For UTV sand tires, you’re going to want something with a little more oomph, such as UTV paddle tires. This allows you to swim thought the sand and avoid getting stuck. They are also lightweight, so you don’t sink down into the fine granolas. MFG KM3 tires come highly recommended, but we’ve heard many riders call the SuperATV Intimidators the best tire they have ever ran — a tire that performs great in every situation. For winter riding, studded tires are the way to go if you don’t want to pop on a Can-am Maverick track system. About 900 of the AMA Golds 1/2” super glued to your tires will help a lot… because doing 360s going downhill can be fun, but if you’re doing it unintentionally it can be scary to say the least. No matter where you ride, be it mostly two tracks and wooded areas, sand dunes, or in the mud, we’ve got the tires to best suit your situation. Be it Can-Am Maverick street tires, sand tires, or tires made for the mud, we’ve got the UTV tires that will ride smooth and power through!
