Two Different Mic Options You’ve got two options when you’re using this radio: the included hand mic or a hands-free Bluetooth connection. The hand mic has great sound and a retro, ham-radio-esque look that makes you look like you mean business. If you’ve already got a helmet with a Bluetooth headset, you can use the Tread app on your phone to connect it to your Garmin. That way you can use the Bluetooth connection instead of the hand mic.
