When it comes to Can-Am Maverick fender flares, it all depends on your set up. If you run a wide set up with aftermarket modifications like portals, the standard sport fenders probably won’t do much good. But if you’re running just a little bigger tire or a small wheel spacer, Can-Am Maverick fenders work wonders. Many Can-am riders think that the Can-am Maverick fender extensions look a little bulky on rigs with stock tires, but unless you like a good layer of mud on your skin to keep the mosquitos at bay, sometimes sacrificing looks for functionality takes priority. Besides, the subjectivity of UTV fender aesthetics isn’t an exact science. But if you’re one of the finicky few who prefers to lecherously ogle your UTV rather than ride it, running the wide Can-am Maverick front fender flares with a set of sport fenders for the rear is a good compromise. And because the rear comes narrower from the factory, this option gives you the best of both worlds; protection and good looks. Some riders have even went so far as to install mud flaps and other Can-am Maverick mud guards on the bottom of the flare by the rock sliders to cover up exposed corners.
Even if you don’t “mud ride”, Can-Am Maverick protection accessories like fender flares are quite useful and good to have. Counter-intuitively, if you are slow rolling mud holes, than Can-am Maverick fenders may not prove very beneficial as it’s just one more place for mud to cake up. Furthermore, if you run narrow trails in your UTV and are barely able to thread the needle, the added width of aftermarket accessories like fenders and side mirrors may make your machine too wide. On the other hand, if you are trail riding or deer lease riding, running Can-am Maverick fender extensions it is a must — that is, unless you enjoy getting pelted in the face with dirt and mud clots. Either way, whatever aftermarket protection accessories you’re looking for, be they Can-am Maverick fenders, sport fenders, extended fenders, mud guards, or anything in between, here at Everything Can-Am Offroad, we’ve got the right fender flares for you and your Maverick.
